Read Write Inc Phonics Support
At Leamington Community Primary School, reading is at the heart of everything we do and we believe that all our children can become fluent readers and writers. We place a huge importance on not only teaching our children to read but also the joys of reading for pleasure. This is why we teach reading through Read Write Inc. which is a validated systematic and synthetic phonics programme. We start teaching phonics in Nursery and as they move through school. Read Write Inc. Programmes, developed by Ruth Miskin, provides a whole-school approach to teaching literacy to create fluent readers, confident speakers and willing writers.
