Gardening Club
The Gardening Club
takes place every Wednesday night after school,
with Mrs Farbon-Jones. A group of Year 5, children
look after the raised beds in the play ground.
They have been growing vegetables which they have
harvested in September.
The children have
grown, potatoes, strawberries, carrots, onions,
garlic, radishes and beetroot. Recently they entered
a National potato growing competition.
Just recently they
harvested 3 pumpkins, which they will use for
Halloween. For next Spring, they have set onions
and garlic and are hoping for a good crop.
Finally the gardeners
have learnt how to prune the shrubs which they
really enjoyed.
